InboxDollars Review: Its Own Pages Give Three Different Cashout Minimums

The short answer on getting paid

InboxDollars publishes three different cashout minimums, all of them on its own website, and they don't agree with each other.

The help centre article that the official help index links as its canonical payment answer says members need at least $15.00 for a first payment request, and $10.00 or higher after that. The legal Payment Terms, updated later on 24 July 2025, say in capitals that there's no redemption of cash until you have at least thirty dollars posted to your account, then work an example where $15 explicitly isn't enough. The cancel-membership article repeats $30.00. So does the Google Play blurb.

A fourth signal, weaker: a live config value on the help page reads first-gift-card-minimum-value: 5. That's a product setting, not published policy, so it stays unconfirmed here.

Open the Request Payment screen in your own account before you plan around any number. That screen governs your balance. No page outside it does.

Who runs the site

The site config served with the InboxDollars homepage names the operator outright as Prodege, LLC, with prodege.com as the company origin and Swagbucks, MyPoints and Tada as sibling brands. Prodege's contact page puts headquarters at 2030 E Maple Avenue, Suite 200, El Segundo, California 90245, with offices in Brooklyn, Athens, London and Gurugram, and a footer reading 2026 Prodege, LLC.

Ownership changed in 2019. Prodege's press release of 9 May 2019 announces its acquisition of CotterWeb Enterprises, Inc., which ran InboxDollars.com and SendEarnings.com in the US, DailyRewards.com in Canada and InboxPounds.co.uk in the UK. It quotes founder Daren Cotter on having scaled InboxDollars past $25 million in annual revenue, and says the deal carried Prodege beyond 100 million registered members. SendEarnings has since been absorbed, and that domain now 301-redirects into inboxdollars.com.

Two leftovers. The tax article still names "InboxDollars, Inc." as the entity filing your 1099, and nothing public settles whether that's a live company or only a trading name. The iOS listing still calls this "the Minnesota-based money-making app". Minnesota was CotterWeb's base, so the store copy hasn't caught up with El Segundo. The site dates to 2000, per the blog footer.

What a payout costs

The help centre says there's no additional fee for virtual eCards or gift cards, and InboxDollars' own blog announced the removal of the old $3 processing fee effective 7 April 2020. The fee is zero. If a 2026 review tells you there's a $3 fee on balances under $40, that's a copy of a copy. The $40 threshold appears in no official source.

The Request Payment article lists gift card, PayPal and prepaid Visa. Every gift card is virtual and mailed cards aren't available. You can also gift earnings to a friend by email, or donate. One pending payment at a time.

Cheque is messier than most reviews admit, in both directions. The marketing page at /g/check-cash-for-surveys returns a 404 and the homepage rewards footer now lists only PayPal cash and gift cards. But cheque terms are still in force in two current articles. Who Can Join, updated 12 June 2025, voids an uncashed cheque after 90 days and credits the amount back. The Payment Terms, updated 24 July 2025, still say payments process on Wednesdays and go out by USPS within 3 days. The 2026 blog footer still links "Check cash" to the dead page. Abandoned, rather than retired.

Two more things that trip people up. PayPal payouts need your name, email and address to match exactly, plus a verified bank account on the PayPal side. Gift-card redemption links expire 24 hours after they're emailed, after which you re-request through My Rewards.

Why the timing pages disagree

The Request Payment article says about 3 business days for gift cards and PayPal, eCards at 3 to 5. Other live help pages say up to 10 business days for the same two. The legacy Payment Terms still describe a weekly cycle landing 10 to 16 days after the request. Three eras of one product stacked in a single help centre, so don't blend them into one timeline.

Identity verification runs through a third party, Persona, with a government ID and a selfie, and InboxDollars says it may need up to an additional 10 business days on top.

What the published rates actually are

Surveys, in InboxDollars' own homepage words: most pay $0.50 to $5.00 and take 3 to 25 minutes, with some paying $10 or $20 if you match the demographic profile. The signup bonus is $5.00, and the App Store listing ties it to finishing a roughly two-minute profile survey.

Referrals are the clearest deal on the site. $3.00 for each referral once that person has earned $3.00 or more, plus 10% of their new referrals' earnings, with no cap. Signup bonuses, WinIt codes, Daily Goal bonuses and courtesy credits are carved out of that 10%.

Everything else pays in cents rather than dollars, and the Daily List sets the pattern. Finish 4 of the 8 Daily List activities and you get $0.05. Finish all 8 and it's $0.10. Daily Goal streaks add $0.10 for a five-day run up to $0.25 for completing the goal every week, claimable between the 5th and the 15th of the following month. Scratch and Win's first tier is a chance at up to $10 or a bonus. If you joined after 19 April 2018, clicking Confirm on a PaidEmail earns Scratch and Win progress rather than cash, and you get three a day at most.

Cash Search gets a caveat rather than a slot in the list. The $0.05 Search Loyalty Reward for four consecutive qualifying days is still documented, but the Search FAQ, updated 18 June 2025, says the Search and Earn program is ending and the search-provider partnership is over. That loyalty page also contradicts itself about which day the bonus lands, Wednesday in one paragraph, Sunday in another.

For videos, Magic Receipts, WinIt codes and games there's no rate card at all. Any per-task figure you've read for those came from someone's estimate, not from InboxDollars.

Offer crediting is where patience gets tested. Most offers credit within 2 weeks, some take 30 days or longer, and offers where a purchase has been made or an order placed may take 30 to 90 days. Shopping-channel offers, Groupon included, run 30 to 45 days from purchase or shipment. Trial offers are quoted at about 14 days, sometimes 30.

The rules that can take the balance back

An account goes inactive after 10 days with no login and no PaidEmail confirmation, and pending payment requests are removed when that happens, because the deactivation sweep runs immediately before payments process. Reactivation is possible within 6 months. After that, the account is permanently removed and all cash is cancelled. Cancelling voluntarily forfeits pending cash too.

Those rules need a date on them. They come from the Inactive Accounts article, last updated 14 January 2021, which makes them five years and seven months old as of September 2026, and the Referral Terms and Offer Crediting Terms carry the same date. Two of the articles that lean on the full terms send members to inboxdollars.com/pages/terms, which 404s now. The live terms sit at /terms-of-use.

You'll be asked for tax information above $300 requested at one time or cumulatively in a calendar year, and a 1099 is filed for any member earning $600 or more.

Two official totals, thirteen million apart

Prodege publishes two lifetime payout figures right now, on two app stores, for the same app. Google Play says that since 2000, over $57 million in cash rewards has been paid to members. The App Store description says over $70 million in cash and gift card rewards since 2000, and adds that over 1,000 gift cards are redeemed every day. Both live, both official, $13 million apart.

The app numbers split the same way. Google Play shows 4.0 stars from 163K reviews and 5M+ downloads, Android version 4.12.1, updated 27 August 2026. The App Store shows 4.5 stars from about 224K ratings, iOS version 4.14.1.

US only, and enforced

InboxDollars welcomes individuals living within the United States, all 50 states, aged 18 or over. Its international article says there are no earning opportunities for non-US individuals. VPNs, proxies and private IPs are prohibited, and US members who log in while abroad are told the account could be closed with earnings removed.

Outside the US, Prodege runs the same machine under other names: InboxPounds.co.uk for the UK, whose homepage quotes GBP 0.50 to GBP 5.00 per survey, and DailyRewards.com for Canada. Both are live under the same Prodege owner tag. The country split comes from Prodege's 2019 press release, not from the sites, which state no country rule in their served pages.
