How we check

Every number on this site comes from a page we opened ourselves, and the date we opened it sits next to the source at the bottom of each article. That is the whole method. The rest of this page is what that means in practice.

Where numbers come from

Company pages beat everything else. A fee schedule, a help centre article, a terms page or an investor filing published by the company itself is a primary source, and it is the only kind we will quote a number from. Blog posts, forum threads and "top 10" round-ups are not sources. They are how we find out something changed, and then we go check the company page.

If a company does not publish a number, we say it is not published. We do not average what other sites claim.

What the dates mean

Two dates appear on an article. "Updated" is when the page itself last changed. "Figures checked" is the most recent date we opened a source and saw the number still standing. The second one is the honest one. A page can be updated for a typo without anybody re-checking a fee.

What we do not do

We do not call a company a scam. That is a legal claim about a named business, and it is not ours to make. What we do instead is publish the checkable facts: who legally operates it, what the payout minimum is, which countries it accepts, how it pays, and what its own terms say about withholding money. Readers can draw their own conclusion, and they will have the sources to defend it.

We do not publish payment screenshots we made ourselves. Anyone can fake one, so a screenshot from the site that is asking you to trust it proves nothing.

We do not let a commission decide an ordering. Right now that is easy, because no link on this site earns anything at all.

When we are wrong

Fees change and pages move. When a number here is wrong, it goes on the corrections page with what it said, what it should have said, and the date. Old versions are not quietly overwritten.
